Johnny Gates is a Rhode Island-born rock vocalist who gained national attention competing on season 12 of The Voice as part of Gwen Stefani's team. As lead vocalist for rock trio Runaway Saints, he toured with Rod Stewart and other major acts before the band signed with Warner Brothers and later disbanded. Gates has since pursued a solo career blending rock and country elements, releasing his self-titled EP in 2019.
