Laura Stevenson is a singer-songwriter from Long Island, New York, who formerly played keyboards for musical collective Bomb the Music Industry!. Her music combines indie folk and country influences with orchestral arrangements, drawing from her musical lineage as the granddaughter of "Little Drummer Boy" composer Harry Simeone and jazz singer Margaret McCravy. Growing up in Long Island's punk scene, she transitioned from DIY venues to wider recognition with her band The Cans, incorporating horn sections, violin, and accordion into her emotionally driven songwriting.
