Noah Jackson is a GRAMMY-nominated bassist, cellist, and composer from Detroit who has performed internationally as a member of NEA Jazz Master Abdullah Ibrahim's ensemble Ekaya since 2010. His work on Nnenna Freelon's "Time Traveler" earned him a GRAMMY nomination, and he has performed with notable artists including Branford Marsalis, Kenny Barron, and Kenny Garrett at leading venues from Blue Note Jazz Club to international festivals including North Sea Jazz Festival and London Jazz Festival. Jackson serves as curator and artist-in-residence at Detroit's Cliff Bell's jazz club and has received grants from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for his Duke Ellington-based work.
