Walter Mitty (solo)

Dustin Hayes is the singer-songwriter behind Walter Mitty and His Makeshift Orchestra and its electric counterpart Walter Etc., folk punk projects formed in Southern California in 2009. After a decade-long hiatus from the Walter Mitty name, Hayes revived it in 2025 with Yikes Almighty on Lauren Records, an album he buried as a single cassette in a California desert cave and released only after a fan found it. He has toured the DIY circuit extensively and runs the Making New Enemies art collective.
