Global Village has been packing Lansing dance floors since 1992. Built around a three-piece horn section and powered by influences from James Brown to Earth, Wind & Fire to Fishbone, the band made its name on Saturday nights at the Small Planet before becoming a Green Door staple. Three original members remain in the current lineup, led by vocalist Michael Fredericks alongside saxophonist Marcus Darden, trombonist Dave Wullaert, and trumpeter Elise Berner.
